Seaside street photo meet up - August

Cleethorpes

Seaside Street photography meet up - Saturday 24 August 2024

This is a FREE event! Just turn up and have fun.

It’s that time off the year, the coastline is packed and ready for us to make the most of it.

If you have been to one of these events before, then you know the score. If your new around here, then get yourself involved. Its just a case of meeting up with some like minded people all here to celebrate photography on the streets of Cleethorpes.

Its completely free of charge, and a chance for us like minded creatives to meet up, shoot, socialise and have a few drinks together in the afternoon (if you're up for that too).

for those of you that wanted to stick around and have a few drinks in the evening, it might be worth having a look at booking a hotel. There’s a fairly new Premier Inn at the other end of Cleethorpes which I would recommend.

It would be good if you can let me know if you're thinking of coming along, so I have an idea of numbers…

What do I need to bring?

Shades - you need to look cool while you're walking around the seaside! but seriously on a sunny day, it will be bright.

I like to travel light, especially for a day of walking around the seafront but it’s normally a good idea to bring a jacket, even on the hottest days it can get cool along the coast at times. I tend to carry a USB battery bank (as there are not many places to grab power if your running low) and a couple of spare batteries for my camera. Definitely recommend some cash as well, not all the seaside shops take card - especially if you're wanting some fresh donuts along the front!

There are places to grab food and drinks and we will be stopping off for lunch but I would recommend bringing a bottle of water along with you too.

Stick all this in your backpack and your good to go.

Oh, yeah and don’t forget your camera!

… one more thing, please charge and bring your spare batteries, and a spare memory card (or more film). There’s always someone who forgets and misses out on golden hour - you have been warned!
